Classic Baked French Bread from My Daily Moment

1 loaf challah 10 eggs 2 cups heavy cream 1 orange, zest 1/8 cup  orange  juice 1/2 cup butter 2 cups maple syrup METHODS/STEPS Preheat oven to 400 degrees and slice the challah bread very thickly. Let dry out for 2 hours. Mix eggs, cream, oj and zest very well. Dip both sides of slice of bread in egg mix and get them very wet. Lay the bread in pan slightly overlapping and pour the rest of the egg mixture over the bread. Cover with foil and let sit at least 1 hour. Bake  for 45 minutes to 1 hour - depending on how crispy you want the top. For the sauce: in saucepan melt butter add syrup cook until it reaches a low simmer - pour over the French toast. ADDITIONAL TIPS Ready in 1¼ hour

Christmas Brunch Casserole from My Daily Moment

1 lb. bacon 1 tbsp. butter 2 onions, chopped 2 cups fresh sliced mushrooms 4 cups frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp.  garlic  salt 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper 4 eggs 1 1/2 cups milk 1 pinch dried parsley 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese METHODS/STEPS Preheat oven to 400  degrees . Grease a 9x13 in. casserole dish. Place bacon in a large, deep skillet.  Cook  over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain and set aside. In a separate skillet, melt the butter and fry onions and mushrooms until tender. Place potatoes in bottom of prepared dish. Sprinkle with salt, garlic salt, and pepper. Top with bacon, then onions and mushrooms. In a large bowl, beat eggs with  milk  and parsley. Pour over casserole. Top with grated cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake  in preheated oven for 1 hour or until set. If preparing and baking the same day, cook for 45 minutes. ADDITIONAL TIPS Cook time: 45-60 minutes
