Making Easter Baskets!

Have your kids make easter baskets this year out of Ice Cream buckets! This is a fun project for kids from 3 years old and up, of course as long as an adult is near by, since they will be using scissors and they may need a little help with the hole puncher and also you may want to keep an eye on the glue stick, it does look a bit like chapped stick or candy so tasting it may cross their minds, but remember they are making the basket with little or no help from Mom or Dad.

Materials Needed:

Cleaned out ice cream bucket, plastic easter eggs, scissors, colors, copy paper, glue stick and a hole puncher to make holes on the side and construction paper in different colors, let the kids cut the paper out and use a glue stick to stick the paper to the bucket. They can also draw and color on white paper and cut this out to glue to the basket, anything will do, but let their creative minds decide how they want to decorate it. Think about it, it doesn't really matter what it looks like, as long as they make it, they will be proud and plus you will love it when you find it a few years down the road once they have left the "nest" and start their own families! What a memory!

Instructions

For the handle, punch a hole on each side and insert handle then tie a knot. You can use rope, ribbon or felt wire craft for the handle. Now all you need to do is fill up with plastic eggs and your ready for the best Easter Egg hunt ever!
