This is my daughter's favorite cookie! Its easy to make and also it makes tons of cookies, for this reason its a good cookie for a church or school bake sale.
Snickerdoodles
1cup soft shortening not margarine
1 1/2 sugar
2 3/4 sifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs slightly beaten
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, gradually add dry ingredients, mixing well. Wrap dough in wax paper. Chill 2 hours. Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture. Place on ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
Bake in hot oven 400 8-10 mins. 5 dozen! Enjoy!
