Sunshine Farms in Chilton County is absolutely the best place in Central Alabama for Strawberries!. Very family oriented - inflatables for the kids and much more.

Directions: US Hwy 280 E to Harpersville, right at light on Co Hwy 25, go ½ mi, take right on Co Rd 444, go 0.6 miles take left on Dead Hollow Road. Farm ½mile on right. Open: June 15 - August 15, Blueberries. Open: Monday to Saturday, 8 am to 6 pm.

Cleckler Farm - peas, beans 2575 County Road 490, Verbena, AL, 36091. Phone: 205-755-2752. Directions: Highway 31S, turn left at Peach Park onto Bradberry Lane. Go East to stop sign, and then straight across Co. Road 490 (dirt road) for ½ mile and farm is on left.

Charles Culp Farms - Peaches, apples, nectarines, plums. 11602 County Road 51, Jemison, 205-688-4553. Open: May 10 to August 30, 7 am to 5:30 p.m.

Ray Cooedy Farms - Peaches, plums, tomatoes. 249 County Road 412, Clanton, 205-755-5315 or 205-755-9326. Open: April 5 to September 5, 7 am to 7 p.m. (Note: They stopped growing strawberries after 2003)

Doster Farm - blueberries 6525 County Road 16, Clanton, AL 35045. Phone: 205-755-9763. Directions: From Clanton, take Al. Hwy. 22, turn left on Co. Road 37, and right on Co. Road 16. Farm is ½ mile on left. Open: All day/7 days a week. Crops available: June and July. Please call before you come.

Open: Monday to Saturday 8 am to dark, Sunday 1-5 pm, Schools welcome Monday to Friday, 9-12, Call for picking days. Crops available: Apr - mid-May; Strawberry Festival 4/28-5/11). Pumpkins, fall decorative items (October). $5 Admission (Oct): covered wagon ride to patch and choice of pumpkin; family activities, arts & crafts

Directions: From Clanton Alabama take hwy. 22 west about 9 miles to McCraw Peach sign on left of hwy. turn left here onto county road 15, continue about 3 miles we are on the right at the McCraw Peach sign. Plums: May 15th through June, Nectarines, June 10th through July 10th, Peaches: other varieties of peaches ready June 1st through August 15th,we have a different variety ready about every week or 10 days during this time. Payment: Cash, Check. We have Free recipes, Free canning and freezing information available here from our local Extension office, Also seasonal vegetables available. 2008 prices: U-Pick peaches $7, Nectarines $8, Plums $10, all per 8 quart basket. We supply the picking containers, then empty into bags or your containers after picking. If you wish to take the picking basket you may for $1 more per basket.

The fields are open to u-pick Tuesday-Saturday 9-5 and Sunday from 1-5. Muscadines are now available for u-pick or already picked . Oriental Persimmons and Kiwi are also available. Directions: Take Jemison Exit 219 off I-65; travel West to Smokey Hollow Restaurant; left onto County Road 29 for 1 mile. Open: 9-5 Tues-Saturday, 1-5 Sunday. Please call before you come.
