- 2 cups sifted flour
- 3 teaspoons Clabber Girl Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- Dash of salt
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup milk
Stir together first five ingredients. Cut in shortening. Make a well in the center, add milk. Stir til dough clings; knead 20 strokes. Roll on floured board. Cut with biscuit cutter.
Bake at 450 degrees for 9-10 minutes.
