Benefits of Roadside Assistance

Benefits of Roadside Assistance

Ever have a bad day? I am sure we all agree on this question! It's bad enough to have a horrible day at work, but to have car trouble on top of the bad day, well it can make you just want to go home and crawl back in bed!
It was raining, so having car trouble was not something you were looking forward to on the way to work this morning. All you can see is bumper to bumper traffic on the interstate and no way to pull over to the side of the road. A flat tire was definitely not on your agenda this morning.
Can you imagine if you can, having a sudden flat tire, in the middle lane of a very busy interstate?
Not my idea of a great way to start my day, but you do have a cell phone so call the hubby and pray he is close by and not across town.
Let's try to make this scenario even worse, shall we? I call the hubby, but in all my excitement I forgot he is on his way to a college football game and being in another state is not close by! What to do once you have made all emergency help calls and everyone is out of town and of course you are still in the middle lane with a flat tire, but now traffic is backing up and the people in the backed up cars are starting to look very unhappy.
Manufacturer's Roadside Assistance: Many car brands will include roadside assistance when you purhcase a new vehicle for a certain amount of time.  Most Chrysler brand vehicles come with the 5-Year/100,000-Mile Roadside Assistance Service. When you need support with a battery jumpstart, roadside fuel delivery, flat tire service or towing to the nearest FCA US LLC vehicle dealer, help is only a phone call away.
If you have an older model vehicle you can join a road side assistance club such as AAA or State Farm. The clubs are not just for major breakdowns, either. Lock your keys in the car or get a flat and they can help. Your membership covers you, not your vehicle, so you can call whether you are in your own car, a friend's car, or a rental. Here are some services you may get:
  • If You Need Mechanical labor at the place of breakdown
  • Towing your vehicle to a repair facility
  • Pulling your vehicle out of a location where it is stuck
  • Delivery of gas or oil
  • Assistance with changing a tire or a jump start
  • Locksmith services
Now if you don't have road side assistance, then it's going to be a long morning and soon you will see blue flashing lights blaring behind you. You better check to make sure you have all your car credentials for the man in blue and please hope you have a spare tire in your trunk. Most importantly relax, your day can't get any worse!
