Smithsonian Toy Review

Christmas is a magical time of the year! Shopping is already in full swing and kids are adding every day

to their ever growing list of must haves. Let me help ease your stress level by suggesting a few toys you

may want to add to your list for the kids or adults this year!

Have you ever been to the Smithsonian Museum? It's the largest museum in the world, here you can learn and

discover from the past, present and future!

Smithsonian offers all kinds of educational toys.  Let me tell you about the Smithsonian Wave Machine,

Smithsonian Prehistoric Sea Monster kit, Smithsonian Newton's Cradle Science Kit and Smithsonian

Motion Kit!  The good part is all toys can be found at your local Target!

The Smithsonian Wave Machine will help you learn about the Physics of Wave motion in our oceans and

seas. It is a artificial tank of water that produces continuous waves that can be so relaxing! I found myself

just watching the waves and for a few minutes I could picture myself on the beach! This would be a great

gift for any beach ocean loving person. Its's like having a little bit of the ocean in your own home!  Also it

can be very educating for children. They will learn about continuous wave simulation, how waves impact

the landscape and how rip currents develop.  You will need to purchase one "C" battery. This gift would be

great for a children and adults!

The Smithsonian Prehistoric Sea Monsters is a kit which includes 1 Aquarium, 1 background, 1 Bag of

Triops eggs, 1 bag of sand and a color poster with instructions. Who wouldn't want to hatch your own

prehistoric pets? You can watch them grow to more than 20 x their original size! Its not everyday you

get to witness a  220 million species come alive!  This is recommended for kids 7 years of age and

older but as an adult I found it very exciting and fascinating to watch. This would be a cool product to

to get kids and adults interested in science!

The Smithsonian Perpetual Motion Machine was so intriguing!  Its powered by a invisible magnetic field

and you get to build it! The assembly was easy. It does come with small magnets so be careful if you have

any small children around. What a wonderful way to learn about properties of physics!

The kit includes 1 perpetual Motion machine and a color poster with instructions.  It does require 4 AA

batteries which are not included. This product is recommended for kids 8 years old and up!

Easy way to teach your kids about first and second laws of the thermodynamics. Plus it looks good just

sitting on a table or in a office for a conversation starter!

Smithsonian Newtons Cradle comes with the cradle and color poster. This product demonstrates

Conservation of linear Momentum. You can swing one ball or two and observe equal reaction on the other

end.   This was named after Sir Issac Newton and his third law of motion.  It would be a great gift for all

who love science. It's recommended for ages 8 years and older, but it would also be a nice gift for

adults! Kids will love to swing the balls back and forth and its also a good way to peak their interest in science and also a good time to introduce a man named, Sir Issac Newton.

I think this was one of my favorite products to review. I would highly recommend this product!
