I noticed the post on making your own shampoo seemed to grab some attention, so I thought it would be fun to share more recipes from my great book find at my local thrift store! The Quick -Fix Mask You can whip this Mask up in no time and its good for all skin types!  It's a quick pick me up for your skin! 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar 1 tablespoon organic honey Mix the ingredients together and smooth on a clean face.  Leave the mask on for 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and pat skin dry. Cream for Sensitive eyes In this recipe  if you have allergies or sensitive under eyes, this rich cream will soften and protect your skin. 3 table spoons  coconut oil 2 table spoons grated cocoa butter Mix the ingredients together in a heat-proof glass container.  Heat gently in a water bath until melted. One Momma Saving Money: Double Chocolate Banana... Have some ripe bananas that you don't want to waster? Well here is a super yummy recipe that everyone will love! Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.Use a stand mixer (paddle attachment) and mix together bananas, oil, and egg. In a separate large bowl, sift together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, and baking powder. Slowly add dry ingredients to banana mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.Fill greased or lined muffin tins approximately 2/3 full. Sprinkle the tops of each muffin with sugar. Do you want to make your own Shampoo or Conditioner?

Have you ever thought of making your own shampoo?  While perusing the local thrift store, I came upon a book that had some great recipes in it. One of course, was Basic Shampoo #1 Yes I do know that with coupons you can score shampoo for free, but this activity could turn into a fun afternoon with friends and family! We all could stand some extra family bonding! I know I could! BASIC SHAMPOO This shampoo is a thin version. For hair that shines, apply just a dime's worth (no more than a quarter).  A little goes a long way!  1/2 cup distilled water 1/2 cup castile liquid soap 1/4 teaspoon safflower or almond oil Plastic squeeze bottle Mix the ingredients together in a clean squeeze bottle or empty shampoo bottle. Shake well to combine.. Shampoo and rinse with cool water. GrandMa's Favorite Conditioner 1/4 cup distilled water 1 table spoon unflavored gelatin 1 fresh egg yolk 2 table spoons fresh lemon juice Warm the water in the microwave.
